Beneficiaries

We are a non-profit making organisation. We retain a small amount of ongoing funds to finance next year's events and give all our other profits to deserving causes and activities with the emphasis on primarily benefitting those taking place in the area in and around Rothbury. secondly further afield in Northumberland, and thirdly elsewhere in the north east and UK.

This year (2009) we are combining joint profits from the Fair and from February's equally successful Hay Show and donating a total of £5000 to local charities and activities including the following :

The Coquetdale League of Friends;  Morpeth RDA's new Pegasus Centre;  the Rothbury Highland Pipe Band;  Coeliac UK;  St. Oswald's Children's Hospice;  Rothbury Football Club;  DebRA (the national charity working on behalf of people in the UK with the genetic skin blistering condition Epidermolysis Bullosa;  the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation (funding the early detection and treatment of cancer);  Help for Heroes;  the Rothbury and Coquetdale Youth Project;  the Army Benevolent Fund;  and the United Reformed Church of Rothbury.

During the last 25 years the show has raised over £95,000 for charity and local projects.
We like to donate to local charities and good causes so if you are involved in a project or group in need of funds for something special let us know.
