Main Ring

11.00    Judging of the Industrial Tent - all entries must be submitted by 11 a.m. 

12.00    Judging of the Sheep Show - all entries must be submitted by 12.00 

12.15    Performance by the Donna Kimberley School of Highland Dancing

             Industrial Tent opens to the public

12.30    Parade and Fanfare by the Rothbury Highland
Pipe Band.

12.45    North Northumberland Dog Agility Team Display

1.30      Children's Sports and Races - open to all our
young visitors

1.45      Performance by the Donna Kimberley School of Highland Dancing

2.00      Start of Fell Race,
followed by a further performance by the Rothbury Highland Pipe Band

2.15      Novelty Dogs competition. Bring your own 
pet pooch! 
    
2.45  Falconry Days Bird of Prey display. 

3.30  International Egg Throwing.

3.45  Presentation of Awards and Raffle Draw.

Other events throughout the day
Cumberland and Westmorland wrestling in the wrestling ring. 

Terrier Show in the terrier ring followed by Terrier Racing at the end of the afternoon. 

Annual Sheep Show with competitive displays of sheep.  Other animals and countryside activities will also be on show and a special display from the Northumbrian Smallholders.

Try-it-yourself dog agility ring for allcomers.

Musical interludes by the Alnwick Northumbrian Pipers, Rothbury Highland Pipe Band and the Donna Kimberley School of Highland Dancing.

Industrial Tent with competitions for children, adults and families, and a Dressed Sticks display and competition.

Food, craft and art marquee with a range of local products.

Northumbrian produce stalls selling local crafts and foods, children's rides, charity stalls, second-hand books, plants, tombolas and the Simonside Country Fair annual raffle.

Enjoy a delicious afternoon tea in the Fair cafe, and all kinds of other food and drink stalls. Everything from the best cup cakes in the world to an excellent latte and a bacon sandwich!   "The Gate" pub will be open all afternoon and there is a bar as well on the show field. 

So bring your family and friends and let us entertain you for the afternoon. Admission is by donation.  We hope that our visitors will be generous as all our profits go to local charities and good causes - but we aim to keep the cost of a great family day out as low as possible so that more people can come along and enjoy a day in the beautiful north Northumbrian countryside. 

SAFETY AND HEALTH INFORMATION
There are live farm animals and many dogs on this site, so PLEASE keep children under supervision and dogs on leash at all times. 

Contact the green office caravan at the top end of the show field next to the marquees in the first instance for First Aid, lost children and other queries, and listen for the announcements on the public address system. 

Disabled facilities
There are portaloos on site including a disabled portaloo (also suitable for parents and toddlers / babies) and other toilets at the pub nearby.  LIMITED disabled parking is available by request to the parking stewards.
